Gulf Coast Charity Event was a Great Success!
We can not thank our clients and our staff enough for the amazing turn out for our first full blown charity event at Off the Map! We had a better response than we could have expected and raised a grand total of $1755.53 for the day to donate to the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana!! Every penny we earned that day is being donated.
The support was overwhelming, and we were even featured in the Hampshire Gazette as well as on News 40! We could go on for days about the details, but you can check out our shop pics for a visual summary of the day. Huge thank you to all of the Off the Map staff & resident tattoo artists as well as part time tattooer Hector Cedillo and guest tattoo artist Jon Von Glahn who also donated their time. Also big thanks to Carlos Lopez who donated art prints to sell! Of course we can't forget our youngest volunteer, Cecelia Ripley, who earned $50 towards the cause with her hard work and lemonade making skills!
We ended up staying even later than scheduled and closing our doors around 10:00 as Kelly and Tim finished the 19th and 20th tattoos of the day.
It was really awesome to see everyone working so hard for free, some of them on their days off, and working as a team for an amazing cause. We look forward to doing another event and if you have any ideas for charities or themes for next time please feel free to give us your input. A million thanks once again to everyone who contributed to this event! We still have prints available at the shop as well as the originals of all the art on display, which are all still for sale for donation. Please contact us or stop by if you are interested!
