Where are you located?

We now have locations on both coasts and in Italy too! You can find directions to our Easthampton, MA location HERE & directions for our Grants Pass, OR studio HERE. If you are flying you will want to fly into Hartford, CT (BDL) for our Massachusetts location and Medford, OR (MFR) for our Oregon location.

Our Italy shop is located in a central Europe position, being on the border with Austria and Slovenia and very near to Croatia, Switzerland and France as well. It is just 10 minutes off the A4 Motorway Exit of Palmanova. If you are flying, the nearest airports are TRIESTE, VENICE or TREVISO, where you can get regular buses or buses+trains to Cervignano del Friuli (UD)

How can I make an appointment?

You can always fill out a free consult form online to get the ball rolling, but for more immediate action just give the studio a call! You can call our Massachusetts location at 413-527-6574 and our Oregon location at 541-244-1141. Our Italy shop can be reached at (0039) 366 3877171. All appointments require a minimum of a non-refundable $100 or € 100 deposit (dependant on location). Consultations are always free.

What if I can't make it to my appointment?

Deposits are non-refundable, however as long as you give 72 hours notice, they are transferable to a future appointment. If something comes up,  call us as soon as possible. Any cancellations with less notice than 72 hours will forfeit their deposit.

Do you take walks ins?

We don't always have time, but we love to accomodate walk ins when we can! You can stop in anytime, or call the studio to see if we have availability.

How much is my tattoo going to cost?

To give a point of reference, that's sort of like asking "How much does a car cost?" Some cars cost $500, some cost $50,000. More importantly, some cars are better quality than others. Same goes for tattoos.

Tattoo pricing varies based on a multitude of factors including size, detail, subject matter etc. Our MA studio has a $100 minimum and our OR studio has a $100 minimum, while our Italian studio has a €100 minimum. Most of our artists charge $140/hr so ultimately pricing just depends on how long the tattoo takes. You can set up a free consultation anytime if you'd like to get a more specific idea of how much your custom tattoo will cost!

What do I need to do to prepare for my tattoo?

Make sure you get a good night of sleep before you get tattooed, and eat a good meal before you come in. We have insider info to indicate getting tattooed while sleep deprived, hung over or hungry is not a great idea. Comfortable clothes are a plus! Make sure you wear clothes that leave the area you're getting tattooed easily accesible (skinny jeans for thigh tattoos are bad!). There's also a chance some ink may get on your clothing so don't pick anything you're overly attached to.

Are there any health conditions or concerns that may prevent me from being tattooed?

The following conditions may increase health risks associated with receiving body art: diabetes, hemophilia, skin diseases, lesions, or skin sensitivities to soaps, disinfectants etc.; a history of allergies or adverse reactions to pigments, dyes, or other sensitivities; a history of epilepsy, seizures, fainting, or narcolepsy; the use of medications such as anticoagulants, (such as coumadin) which thin the blood and/or interfere with blood clotting; and hepatitis or HIV infection. Please consult a health care professional if you have any concerns or questions about pre-existing conditions or medications.

How about pregnancy and breastfeeding ?

Tattoos are a permanent form of artwork etched into the flesh and are not without risk. As with piercings, local and systemic infections are the most prevalent risks of tattooing. Already present tattoos, on the breast or elsewhere, do not affect breastfeeding. The possibility of the ink migrating into the mother's blood plasma and then into the milk-making cells of the breast, is next to impossible. However, it is still possible to have allergic reactions to the tattoo inks.

Many, if not most, professional tattoo artists won't knowingly tattoo a woman who is breastfeeding or will actively discourage a new mother from doing so. The theory behind this is that the body needs time to heal the tattoo and it is harder to do so when the body is producing milk. It also lessens the possibility of any infections from being passed on to the baby. A newborn baby is far more vulnerable to any possible changes in breastmilk than a nursing toddler.

What should I bring with me?

Mostly importantly A GOVERNMENT ISSUED VALID ID. Licenses, State ID's, Passports, and Military ID's are all good. Paper ID's are not a valid form of identification. No exceptions. The second most important thing, a method of payment. We can do cash, credit or debit. No personal checks and no American Express. We also recommend you bring things to keep you busy, happy and distratced. Laptops, Nooks, iPods, iPads, books, etc are great ideas. Lastly, if you're sitting for a long session, snacks are good to have handy. There are plenty of local restaurants that deliver, but it's good to have something to quickly eat.

Tell me more about this guest artist thing.

We have an amazing line up of both national and international artists that come to our studios to tattoo for anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. We strive to provide a great variety of artists to our clients, and the guest artists roster provides even more opportunity to be tattooed by some of the world's best! We offer over 40 guest artists a year! Guest artists often have specific booking preferences so feel free to call the studio to get details on the artist(s) that interest you! We do have full time artists at both of our studios as well.

I emailed an artist, but haven't heard back. What gives?

Our artists are often tattooing and/or drawing for 8-10 hours a day, which doesn't always leave a lot of time for emails. Don't take it personally, they're just busy. Luckily we have a dilligent front desk staff that checks emails everyday. If you email the studio, you should get a response within 24-48 hours, if you call during business hours, we can help right away! You don't need to talk to an artists before calling, the front desk staff can help you with just about everything you'd need to know!

I'm a bit nervous about getting my tattoo, how do I know I can trust you?

We hold ourselves to the highest standards, and most of our clientele comes from referrals. We promise you're in good hands. If you want proof you can read our TESTIMONIALS page, and check out our reviews on Google, Yahoo and Yelp! When looking at yelp, make sure you check out the filtered reviews, because yelp thinks our clients are robots. We also encourgae people to call, email or come in with any and all questions you have! We love talking tattoos and we're happy to make sure you're 100% comfortable before we tattoo you.
