Comments: This piece was done on a wonderful client of mine back in Buffalo, NY while I was working for Cory Cudney. Anyone in the WNY area should certainly check out his shop, it is housed with killer, custom tattoo artists and one of the most caring piercers the body modification industry has to offer. Sarah left me with a quote and basically gave me free reign over the design limiting my work space. Basically, the quote she gave me with was along the lines of "it's a difficult time for dreamers". The energy ord- burst from her forehead blending into the hair/ waves of energy signify thoughts, or dreams, and as you can see they are being put to the test as they wind through the gears [I'm sure some of us can relate to that feeling] however, don't dismiss the wings sprouting from her chest as if to say 'keep going' and continue to be free, for wings are surely a symbol of freedom and movement. Energy is seen throughout the piece in the example of lightning and other orb- bursts. There is also a dark orchid growing up from underneath and over her shoulder to represent further growth and beauty. It's important to see the beauty inside of the struggle for when recognized it can be a wonderful tool for growth. Ah, to be a custom artist :)
