Nathan Kostechko - Distorted Beauty

Comments: Jayme lives in one of the wealthiest places to live in CA. She is surrounded by snobs and women made of plastic. Today mass media has convinced the population that you must fall into a certain category to be defined as 'beautiful', which the only way to look that way is through plastic surgery. So she wanted a tattoo to show that beauty comes from within and to be confident of what you were born with on the outside. In this tattoo I made the skin look as if it was having surgery performed and there was on open slice of skin, coming from out of the cut is a naturally pretty peacock quill, on the screen of the t.v. is a hard to read peacock quill that has glitches distorting the image and viewers mind of what is really pretty. This is the first time I have tried achieving optical illusions in tattooing. Inspired by Nick Baxter, thanks Nick!
